Amigos Tortilla Bar (10/2016)
425 Greene St, Key West, FL 33040
This Mexican restaurant's menu is nearly entirely gluten free (or can be made gluten free). Plus, they have gluten free beer and cider available. We ate there twice, and both times our waitress was very knowledgeable, guiding us to the rice bowl which she said would be the safest for someone with celiac. While they do have corn tortillas that are gluten free, they are heated up on same stove as wheat and there is possible cross-contamination. We tried the rice bowl and side of corn. The corn was ok, but the bowl was great!
La Crêperie French Café Key West (10/2016)
300 Petronia St #1, Key West, FL 33040
We had an absolutely wonderful brunch here! Their specialty are buckwheat crepes (buckwheat is gluten free), Les Galettes. I had La Spécialité de La Maison and added bacon. We also tried the potatoes and ratatouille. They had great knowledge of celiac - would clean the pans in between (but do not use separate pans). The service was really, really fantastic!
Spencer's By The Sea at The Reach Waldorf Astoria Resort (10/2016)
1435 Simonton St, Key West, FL 33040
This was such a fantastic hotel to stay at! I am used to doing Airbnb's or hostels to cut down on costs while traveling, but we decided to upgrade for a few nights. Dinner at Spencer's was fantastic, what you'd expect from a nice steak house. And the beach front setting and sunset were absolutely amazing (but don't mind my terrible picture with the chair in it)!
